Elisabeth Shue Joine Cast Of 'CSI'

Looks like CBS's longtime show CSI is adding another new cast member.

Actress Elisabeth Shue, who won an Oscar for her role in Leaving Las Vegas, is joining the cast of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. CBS released the news on Friday and her character's first appearance will be in the February 15, 2012 episode.

Apparently Shue's new character is coming on board to phase out longtime cast member Marge Helgenberger's character, Katherine Willows, as she's preparing to leave the show.

According to PEOPLE, Shue's character will be the team's newest CSI who arrives shortly after taking an anger management course - and viewer will discover she has a history with D.B. Russell (played by newest cast member Ted Danson), whom her character worked with in Seattle.
"While it?s difficult to say goodbye to a beloved character like Catherine Willows, it's exciting to start a journey with a new CSI, especially when that character is played by Elisabeth Shue," executive producer Carol Mendelsohn said in a statement. "The new CSI also struggles with 'brutal honesty issues' and suffers no fools."
I wasn't too sure about Danson's character and how he'd fit in with the cast but after watching this season with him in it I've somewhat fallen in love with the show again. Maybe adding Elisabeth Shue to the cast is a good thing...hopefully.

Anna Kournikova No Longer A 'Biggest Loser' Trainer

Was she fired or did she quite?

No one knows for sure because 30-year-old former tennis pro Anna Kounikova's rep is saying she wasn't fired although she not be staring in next seasons' Biggest Loser.
"Anna was 100 percent not fired from the show." her rep tells PEOPLE
According to The Hollywood Reporter, staff clashed with her while some of the contestants found her to be somewhat unsympathetic.

Kournikova issued a statement stating:
"I enjoyed my time on theBiggest Loser ranch. Although I will not be returning as a full time trainer on season 13, I will always be a part of The Biggest Loser family and my commitment to bettering lives through health and fitness will continue.
I've never seen the show but from what I hear she had pretty big shoes to fill after Jillian Michaelsleft the show at the end of season 11.

Sucks for her. No word on who will be her replacement yet.

Piers Morgan Is Leaving 'America's Got Talent'

46-year-old British TV personality Piers Morgan has recently announced that he will be leaving NBC's America's Got Talent after six seasons.

Morgan announced the news on Wednesday night, saying his schedule had become too hectic since he began hosting his nightly talk show, Piers Morgan Tonight on CNN.
"Turned out that juggling's harder than it looks, so I'm going to focus on CNN," he wrote on Twitter.
He was one of the original judges on the original show, Britain's Got Talent but quit that show in 2010 after four seasons for his show on CNN.

I've never seen the show so I can honestly say I have no clue if it'll make a difference when he's gone...

'Revenge' Cast Gather For A Pillow Fight!

The main cast of ABC's hit show Revenge got together for a photo shoot with photographer Tyler Shields, which included a very fun pillow fight...
Connor Paolo (Declan on the show) is a good buddy of mine and when he told me everyone on his cast was awesome and game for a crazy shoot I had my doubts, its rare that the entire group of people are all awesome and all game they did not disappoint! This shoot was so fun and such an incredible group of people can’t wait to do it again.”
In the photos you can see all of the super hot male cast shirtless, while the female cast is sporting tops with black undies.

Sexy!

I'm a HUGE fan of the show so I'm glad to see that they'd all come together for a fun photo shoot that didn't have anything to do with the show or promoting it. Hopefully this show & it's cast will stick around for a few years.

Hilarious 'SNL' Spoof of Kim Kardashian's Divorce!

I can't believe I missed this hilarious episode!

SNL has really gotten a lot funnier in the past few years. Kristen Wiig does a great Kris Jenner, that's totally how everyone sees her.

After it's debut a lot of people took to Twitter saying that they went a little too far & it was "too harsh". Of course there were those smart people who just took it for what it was, comedy.

Ginnifer Goodwin Promotes New ABC Show

I was afraid she wouldn't make it past Big Love but I'm glad she did.

Ginnifer Goodwin was on Good Morning America this morning to promote her new show Once Upon a Time on ABC

The show which according to IMDB, centers on a woman with a troubled past who is drawn into a small town in Maine where the magic and mystery of fairy tales just may be real.

I set the show to record on my DVR last night, as it's on Sundays @8 pm (pst) and I'm really excited to watch it. So far it's gotten some great reviews and Goodwin plays the Snow White character, which I think she'll do justice too.

I'm used to seeing her with lighter colored hair so I don't know how much I'm diggin' her new darker color. What I'm definitely not liking is that skirt, it makes her lower abdomen/hips look really big. Her shoes...I love!

I hope the show stays around but we'll have to wait & see.

'Top Chef' Finalist Morgan Wilson Indicted On Child Porn...

Those are not charges to be messed around with.

Top Chef: Just Desserts finalist 38-year-old Morgan Wilson of Plano, Texas has been indicted on three second-degree felony charges with possession and intent to distribute child porn. He could be looking at 10 years in jail if convicted.

I never watched the Bravo show but it's said that Wilson was pretty hot tempered and had a lot of outburst...not that it was a sign or anything, just what I read.

According to Plano Star-Courier, Wilson was arrested last December after an undercover investigators received file transfers from his computer that allegedly contained images and videos of children as young as toddlers engaged in sexual acts.

Yikes. If it's not true then I hope he gets out but if he actually gets off on this stuff then lets hope they put him in the pen with the rest of the pigs.

Mandy Moore Will Star In New ABC Sitcom

She may have started out with a singing career but this little lady has made her way into acting...and it's paid off.

27-year-old Mandy Moore has landed herself the lead role in an upcoming ABC sitcom, Us and Them. The show will be a single camera comedy that explores the conflict that exists between the families you grew up in and the ones we make as adults as told through the eyes of a newlywed couple.

Sounds cute to me.

The show has been green lit for a pilot which will be produced by Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements. Jon Leshay will produce the show, he's also worked with Moore on her films; Saved, How to Deal, and A Walk to Remember.

This will be Moore's first main role in a sitcom, although she has starred in such shows as Grey's Anatomy, Scrubs, Entourage, and How I Met Your Mother. She's currently lending her voice in TRON: Uprising.

Congratulations to her! I think she's a pretty good actress & based on the description of the show I'll most likely be tuning in.

ABC Cancels 'Charlie's Angels' Reboot...

And I don't think anyone's surprised. This show looked like a flop from the get go.

ABC has decided to axe the Charlie's Angels reboot. Production on the Miami-set has been shutdown and remaining episodes of the show will continue to air until the network decides what will air in it's place.

Regardless of the fact that this show has great advertising and actress Drew Barrymore was the executive producer, the show still failed in the rating section. Charlie Angels premiered to a very disappointing 2.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic and the show took a drastic fall since then.

This is the fifth show to be canceled this season. Free Agents, The Playboy Club, H8R, How to Be a Gentleman have all been cut as well.

Looks like these ladies will have to go back to their high paying modeling jobs...sucks to be them, right?

HBO Renews 'Boardwalk Empire' For Third Season!

Woot! I love this show, it's one of the best out there and I'm glad to hear that HBO has decided to renew it for a third season.

The period drama staring Steve Buscemi opened it's second season last month with a whopping 2.9 million viewers. It's picked up eight Emmy's, including outstanding directing for a drama for Martin Scorsese and a pair of Golden Globes for best drama & best actor for Steve Buscemi.
From Terence Winter and Scorsese, the Prohibition drama revolves around Buscemi’s scheming Nucky Thompson as he rules over Atlantic City, battling fellow mobsters and other dirty politicians looking for a piece of the illegal alcohol business.
“Following a triumphant first season, I was eager to see what Terry Winter,Martin Scorsese and the rest of their stellar team had in store, and they continue to surpass our highest expectations,” HBO programming president Michael Lombardo said Wednesday in announcing the news. “The response from the media and our viewers has been extremely gratifying.”
For those of you who have missed out on this great show check it out on your HBO OnDemand feature or on HBO every Sunday at 9pm (pst).

Fox Pushes Back 'New Girl' Episodes Until November...

What the hell FOX? This is not cool.

FOX has decided to push back new episodes of their new hit comedy, The New Girl starring Zooey Deschanel until November.

Why? Because they're expanding Simon Cowell's The X-Factor to a full 2 hours vs the hour it currently has for the next three weeks. They also have commitments to the MLB by broadcasting both the American League Championship Series and the World Series so they had to rethink their current scheduling.

The New Girl will return to it's original time-slot beginning November 1, according to The Hollywood Reporter

This show did so well with it's ratings that it became the first new show of the fall to get it's full season pick-up. Hopefully the numbers won't drop now that they're making the viewers wait for new episodes. Personally I enjoy the show but I'm also very impatient & have a short attention span...

NBC Cancels 'The Playboy Club'

NBC is known for quickly giving low rating shows the ax and they didn't make an exception when it came to their newest fall show The Playboy Club staring Eddie Cibrian.

As if getting cut wasn't bad enough the shows also gotten the tittle of being the first cancelled show of the season...sucks.

I never watched the show and don't think I would have cared to but it's always sad when a network doesn't even give it a chance to make it.

According to EW, the show premiered to low ratings and just kept dropping with each new episode. In it's place NBC will repeat the fantastic (IMO) Prime Suspect staring Maria Bello as a bad ass Homicide Detective in NY. However there are rumors that this great cop-drama won't get renewed either due to it's somewhat lower ratings. Watch it people! <-- me begging

NBC did however pick up a full season of Up All Night and Whitney*.

I guess it's back to Lifetime movies for Eddie Cibrian, or should I say Mr. LeAnn Rimes.

*I watched this show 2x & no lie, it's so lame!
