This is just a stunt. WHy did she wait allthese days to write this letter. Now when everything falls in place by others efforts, she wants people to think it is because her effort all these things are happening. I hate murthy or your murfhy.

I believe you can get an interim EAD from local USCIS office once the application has been pending for 3 months...
not any more. Local offices stopped issuing interim EADs a year or two ago.
Now-a-days if your renewel does not complete on time (ie. you dont get new
EAD card in hand, on time) you need to stop working as soon as old one expires.

This is a huge misconception in people.
Filing I485 when the dates are current does not mean you will get a greencard.
Only 30% will in 6 months if the dates stay current.
rest 70% will get in 1 year to 3 years or more based on FBI name checks.
Chew on this and educate your friends.

The issue of GOD and religion has been discussed ad nauseum by many great thinkers and philosophers (Spinoza, Voltaire, Hume, Russel etc.). Having said that, there is nothing wrong in believing in GOD. There is also nothing wrong if someone is not convinced about the existence of GOD. There are valid philosophical arguments for both cases. Lack of mutual respect and failing to see others point of view is what is causing this rift.

house is 100 times more conservative than senate (does not matter if it is democratic controlled house and republican controlled house). If you think house is going to give us EB immigrants a break then you are completely off base. For every kyl, durbin and Kennedy in senate you will have three times more kyl, durbin and Kennedy in the house. House will take the senate bill and make some adjustments to it and not modifications. This bill cannot be repaired by amendments it is fundamentally flawed for us.whatever passes from the senate is the final bill, house will either reject it or rubber stamp it.
It looks like without H1b restrictions you may not get anything. That is mood in the Senate. If CIR is not coming what is your idea? Skill bill seperately is difficult if not impossible. Last minute they may increase H1b for a few years(But last minute increase of GC is impossible. You might have learned lesson on last lame duck session and February 2007) that will further screw up Gc waiting persons.If CIR comes you can have a chance of some favorable amendment in House if not happens in Senate. There are some ppl who will never wakeup, always think themselves as baggers. They do not know what they can achieve if they are united and if they have some willpower & brain. East-Indian-americans are not even 0.5% of the total US population and are among some of the highly successful ethnic groups.
Banks got bailout as they made noise, so are the auto companies. We have many fools who are still in denials even after such a big injustice (unfair country quota for EB category), they just hide behind their false explanations & stupid theory and never even think that asking for or fighting against injustice. This is called escapism.

Just an update..I quit the company and joined small consulting firm. Got the project, labor approved, h1b approved (filed in premium) and prewailing wage determination will be started from next week.damn, i should ve done this 4 yrs back. these guys r fast. Never join as fulltime employee if you dont have green card

If your ex-employer already revoked I-140, how can he give employment verification letter now? He is saying that he is no-longer intend to employ you in the revokation , on the other hand he is giving offer letter now. It is contradictory; it will appear to CIS that you & your employer is doing fradulant practice. If the I-140 was already revoked, then there is no use from it, unless if it is revoked after 180 days of your 485 pending. If it is revoked after 180 days, you can use your new employment to port the job based on AC21 to keep the 485 valid. Otherwise forget it.
Speak with a lawyer. Your lawyer may be able to file a response, stating that the job offer stands and that the petition was withdrawn in error. Ac21 does not protect you, so I do not see any other options here. However, as tricky as this situation is, you should not take the advise of any of the posters here. Use these responses only to have an intelligent discussion with a good immigration attorney. The worst outcome of all for you would be a rejection for fraud or willful misrepresentation, in which case your future petitions would be in jeopardy and you would be unable to retain your PD also.

So if I was laid off and I was working on an EAD, all I need is a letter from any company saying they are hiring me 6 months from now for a salary comparable to that in my LC (with similar job responsibilities etc) and I would be covered in case of an RFE similar to mine?
Wouldn't that be so easy to get?

Absolutely wrong. Becasue of false 5/6 year experience, the genuine guy with 2/3 years fo experience didn't even get the interview. Misrepresentation in your resume works becuase American system is mostly based on trust. All the places I have worked, no one ever asked to even see my diploma. Becuase, they trusted me. Unfortunately we are taking advantage of this trust and that's why we will be seeing laws to eliminate consulrtng all together because some low ethics like you want credit for doctoring resume.

I think you got it all wrong. A fresher/consultant who has the balls to put 5-6 fake yrs of experience in his resume certainly deserves a token of appreciation.
Why dont you ppl understand that there is a common selection process called an Interview and you have to go thru that to get a job and if a fresher beats an experienced guy in that process, to hell with that experienced guy, where has he hidden all his experience when a fresher could make it.
If you were a recruiter and you see a fresher and an experienced guy(4-5) competing/working at the same level for the same job, you have to see the fresher as a guy with a much greater learning graph and skill set.
I have seen guys coming on H1 after slogging 4-5 yrs in India and I think freshers/MS graduates are much better than them, in the way they talk, dress, think, behave....etc....
All you exeperienced guys out there who get scared of competeion in the market, especially from freshers, I strongly recommend u summon all the courage and prepare to be sliced by the sleeker edge.

I had scanned a copy of DHS 7001 and emailed to Ombudsman last Wednesday (special thanks to Googler for all his informative messages). Also, when I spoke to TSC IO three weeks ago, the IO mentioned that they will email the 485 team based on my case details....not sure what triggered an action to my case....but whatever it was....I'm glad it did!! :) Congratulations Harish! Btw, Googler is a her not a his. :)

Guys, We understand its frustrating ...and the anxiety is growing day by day...but infighting wont help....ignore irrellevant posts..and kindly concentrate on educating the senators, media people abt our issues...Keep drilling home the point until we hear from IV core....thats the best we can do...
