Today me and my wife got our CPO emails. Mine was filed in Eb3 and my wife's was in Eb2. I got my approved though my wife.
I've been in US for 10 years... now i've two things to do
1. Wonder was it really worth this wait.
2. Move to the citizen line.

Now for your second question, if you're I-140 gets rejected then your I-485 will be rejected too. The approved EAD will be discontinued if you switched from H1 to EAD and you will no longer be legal in the US. If you think you're I-485 is not a strong case it's bettter to stay on H1 and not use EAD even if they issue you one. Good luck! Hope I was able to answer your question. :)

And also around bay area- san roman, liver moore are they good neighbourhood. Also which has more jobs in datawarehousing is it LA or bayarea.
House prices in California have fallen significantly this year. However, they are still out of reach for most of the first time buyers. Simi Valley and Santa Clarita are nice places to live but still quite expensive. You may be able to find a townhouse for the range that you have mentioned. Please browse www.realtor.com and run some searches by cities to get an idea.

The general rule for qualifying a loan is that you need to make at least 1/3rd per year of the house that you are buying. For example: if you make $50K a year, you can qualify for a mortgage up to $50K*3=$150K and not more than that.

I agree, SKIL is the best bet for us. There are chances of something happenning before Oct 2007 because of no H1B visa numbers being available unitl then. I don't think it has been that bad situation with H1B until now.

My wife is in h4 now and received the EAD. I also received it, everybody is saying if she uses her EAD her H4 will be invalid. Is that a good or bad thing? What about she lost her job after three months? what will be her status? also is we travel using the AP what will be her status? or it doesn't matter as long you have the EAD and AP......
Yes, she will lose her H4 status if she uses EAD. Her new status will be 485-pending.
At this point, if she quits/loses job, that's fine, as her status is not bound to the EAD/job, but to her 485 pending status. She will be able to travel on AP, or apply for new H4 outside (I'm not sure about the later part, so, I'd suggest using AP).
The only risk is, if her 485 application gets denied, she will be out of status, and will have to leave immediately. However, if you still have your H1 valid, she can apply for an H4 again outside the country.

Old I-94 expiration date was January 3, 2010, and new I-94 started from October 18, 2010.
Ask your lawyer if you can get the I-94 corrected Nunc Pro Tunc.

Actually, if you apply for an F1 (fulltime student visa), it will be denied. Why? Because F1 is considered a non-immigrant visa, and USCIS knows that because you filed a 485, you DO have the intent to immigrate. I believe you can just go to school and be jobless on EAD without need for F1. The burden is on you to show that your gc employer sponsor will hire you when you get your gc (if it ever comes up - they can take away your gc anytime at the border/POE, and one question may be are you still working for the sponsor).
This is just my understanding - i talked to a lawyer about it some time ago and i certainly could have some details wrong.

When we had our baby, There was lot of insistence from parents to have the baby born in India. Me and my wife had a discussion and we decided it is best interest of the baby to be born in US. We didn't want him to go through the same pain of H1,H4, EAD, GC etc and opted to have him born in US. Yes i know it is little tough since you need your parents to come and stay for few months once baby is born But i would advise go for having your baby born in US than in India. We always thought this was one of best gifts we were giving to our baby when he was born.
As far as your case is concerned being on EAD will not help if baby is born in India. You will either need to change your status to H1 and get baby on H4 and subsequently EAD or be prepared to have the baby grow in India until your priority dates become current. So choice is yours.

According to my knowledge both of u get should get seperate receipt copies individually for 3 different applications.

I was wondering if the secondary applicant (Wife) will also be receiving a separate receipt numbers for her I-485, I-765 and I-131? She is currently on H4 and my lawyers told me that they received receipts only for me!!
Can some one please clarify this doubt?
I wanted to call USCIS to check the status of my wife's application. Before I call them I want to be sure enough that the dependents will also get receipt numbers.

there are some beginner level shootng courses, inquire at your local gun store.
make sure you understand the law about keeping the gun (concealed/un-concealed) etc how to carry in vehicle , work safety laws about the gun being present in your vehicle at work parking site.
if you understand the law well then there shoudl not be any issue.
Store's are on 6 month back order on the top selling ones. Even if you get one, getting ammo is a big challenge now a days. They are also back ordered for many days due to hign demand.
I bought some decent amount of gold with my glock too ;)
Dollar may crash any day in next 2-3 years. that is day , when things will go out of control.

My husband's case was transferred from CSC to TSC. We haven't received the FP notice yet. USCIS status "The I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS was transferred and is now pending standard processing at a USCIS office". when we called customer service cust service rep informed that we need to wait 180 days after the transfer for FP
