We need to keep on sending email/letter to President, Local Senator, Local congressman secretary of Homeland security, secretary of State and Ombudsman.
Please post your email, other members could use same format and send the email. As per my understanding we need to add our story too e.g. when we came, our investment, our capability to buy house and our life is hanging in the middle of no where.
As DallasBlue mentioned to add three items in the email/letter for administrative fixes.
(i) Eliminate per country quota limits
(ii) Recapture the lost visas
(iii) Porcessing dates cannot go back

I still cannot understand why they do not allow one to file I-485 when the visa numbers are not current. Atleast 485 will give the person an opportunity to obtain a EAD card.

I am writing letter to USCIS and then I will paste it here so you guys can also see and we can fix it and add or remove stuff from it and once we make it final then we will give it to core team so they can look and approve it or change it if they want. you dont have to do anything. Based on your L2 petition you will get an I-94
valid till 2009. Since your EAD is unexpired, you can continue working once you come back. EAD is authorization to work, completely unrelated to your travel to India and back. What exactly are you worried about?
I am worried bcoz, on my EAD card its written "NOT VALID FOR REENTRY TO U.S."
what does this mean?

Start from home first. Get the support of your wife to come with you to DC.
Then talk to your collegues in your company and get them to come with you. Before you strat creating divisions in IV and start a flame war with ROW, try to do those things first. That should tell you how difficult it is to get a 2 line bill.

As a result, numbers have once again become available to the India Employment Second preference category. The rate of number use in the Employment Second preference category will continue to be monitored, and it may be necessary to make adjustments should the level of demand increase substantially. "
At the risk of stating the obvious there was not any spillover this month but there is hope that we may see spillover in future months.

i am in the same boat, i was begging the damn lawyer to port me to EB2, she said, we will have to start the process all over again (as i had filed 485 in dec 04 )and it is not worth it. My company refuses to change lawyers so i am stuck in EB3 with pd apr 2002. :mad:
Your friends lawyer is stupid. I know many who are GC holder by converting. File new EB2 LCA and Port the EB3 date in I140 filing. Nothing wrong with it. My company (F 500) don't do it by some crap policy. I am still waiting since PD 2001 to see light. Why? Because EB2 India is always current but EB3 India PD is May 2001 or before from last 3 years. So if possible take advantage or I am living example. Waiting from 8+ years. Sorry for venting.. :)
